The initial phase was a group interview that anyone could sign-up for as a potential candidate. There were about 40-50 candidates interviewing in a large room and then broken down into groups of three. It took three hours with no breaks and consisted of group questions, dialogue back/forth, written questions and then the smaller group interviews. It was exhausting, but allowed the company to quickly narrow down candidates and provided an opportunity for job seekers to learn quite a bit about the company. After the initial group interview, candidates had to go online and submit a pretty lengthy application. Then, second interviews were scheduled 1:1 with a district manager. It was an in-depth process for essentially an entry-level salary, but makes sense for a company seeking top quality employees that are able to properly handle critically important tax matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
