      Colloquio per Seasonal IT Positions

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso H&R Block (Kansas City, MO) nel mese di ott 2018

      Colloquio

Once contacted by HR, the process was usually efficient and pleasant. An initial phone interview led to an in-person interview. These went fine and were average to excellent, with everyone I spoke to over the phone being pleasant and professional and the interviews ranging from average to excellent. My final interview was to be over video, but the manager didn't show up online and attempted to blame me. By this point, I was already rather dismayed with H&R Block's "seasonal" hiring policy (hiring people for ten months then forcing them to leave for at least two months and reapply for their job), nearly six months until any eligibility for benefits, and woefully uncompetitive wages in so tech-savvy a town as Kansas City. I spoke to HR, expressed my displeasure, stated that I would not work for a manager that would attempt to pin their mistakes on someone else, and withdrew all remaining applications I had with the company. Perhaps it was burning bridges, but I can find a job in this town that pays me what I am worth and treats me with dignity as an employee.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

Standard STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) questions based on previous employee experiences. Google the STAR technique of interviewing and you can pretty well predict what the questions will be. Review your work experience beforehand for possible examples to use for answers. It is not difficult.
