I applied online and was sent an email asking me to complete an hour long math assessment. I emailed the recruiter back and asked her what the compensation was for the role before I spent an hour completing a test that might be a waste of my time. Did not hear back. A couple days later I decided to just do the test in passing while watching a show. I scored high enough and heard back from the recruiter about a day later who scheduled a call for the following week. When we finally got on the phone, she told me the compensation was about $50K than what I was looking for and the call was over within 2 minutes. Waste of time honestly. Just be transparent with candidates so they're not wasting their time taking your awful math test that doesn't even carry significance towards the role they are applying for.
