Interviewed for corporate banking analyst position with HSBC in NYC. First round was a phone screen by human resources. Second round was a phone interview with the managing director. Final interview was a panel consisting of senior HR rep, and two Managing Directors. Questions were functional oriented. e.g. Past work experience, success stories (transferable skills), trying to gauge "fit". It was implicitly assumed I had the technical and modeling skills at a respectable level.
p.s. HSBC is a very bureaucratic organization. Great International Manager program, okay if you're on a currency or metals desk outside of APAC, other non-APAC business segments are weak at best.
