The interview process is a joke. While the hiring manager, which can be anyone from senior management to the human resource manager, neither will tell you the honest truth - that you will work for many hours, weeks, and months with no consistent pay, and yet the expectation as an employee is: 1). you will remain loyal to the organization (no 2nd jobs permitted); 2). Job performance is expected to be exceptional even if the organization fails to provide the necessary resources to do such, i.e, office supplies, adequate office space and tools.
