Once you submit your application, they will review your submission. If talent acquisition determines you meet the job qualifications, they will contact you to schedule an interview with whom your supervisor could/would be. (Mine was the manager of hampton and the manager of norfolk bus transportation.) Upon completion of the interview, you will either be taken to take an assessment on the computer questioning features of Microsoft outlook, and giving you several written response scenario questions, or you will be scheduled to come back and take the assessment. (I did the assessment same day right after the interview). Upon completion of the assessment, your answers are sent to your interviewers by the talent acquisition specialist. Once they determine the outcome of your interview, they will contact you. I was still with the talent acquisition lady when she got word from my interviewer to make me an offer. I accepted and was signing paperwork same day, sent for preemployment physicals same day if I wanted (which I did), and was told I would be contacted with further instructions as my start date came closer. (One month from the interview date).
Notes about the staff: everyone I came in contact with, from the security guard, talent acquisition lady, my two interviewers, and other random people along the way all were willing to speak and make you feel comfortable and that you belong. This is a very welcoming place to work from what I can see, and certainly seems to care about their employees as all the managers I spoke to had open door policies, and all of those I passed by offices, all had doors open.
