Applied online, got a call back the very next day. This might be atypical, given that this particular location was undergoing a hiring event. Came in, spoke with the store manager for a bit, and got essentially hired on the spot. Had to submit to a salivary drug test. Paperwork and such took a while to process, because they were in the midst of updating their system. Called back a couple of times to check up on the process, and, as I'd suspected, I'd fallen through the cracks, but got immediately put back on track and started training/working shortly thereafter.
