The initial phone screens were good. I was brought in for face to face interviews with 4 other people with whom I would be working with. The people who I spoke with were honest about the culture and politics of the organization. I did get the impression that they were stressed about the work environment, and comment were made in regard to the weird politics that are in place there. This information was presented as a caution to a potential new employee. I also got the feeling that the hiring process takes a long time, from initial contact to offer. It would no surprise me if that process took at least 4-6 months. Makes me wonder how important the position was in terms of their business strategy.

4 extensive phone interviews were followed by a full-day, in-person day of 6 interviews. They were very forthcoming about the department, history and future, during the entire process. Many times it seemed that they talked more than they asked questions.
