Colloquio
Applied online and received notification that I'd be interviewed within a few days. Met with Human Resources for an informational interview. Met with the hiring manager alone, then with the hiring manager and the unit head. I also met with a few of the people who would have been my co-workers. Finally, I met with the head of the library.

Question/answer interview with attending supervisor, very simple and straightforward, asked about relevant experience and organizational skills, only one round required with supervisor and nothing more, then starting immediately after, cowabung as far as i'll ever know

Colloquio
HR phone screen followed by a morning of in-person interviews: brief meeting with HR, meeting with hiring manager, panel interview with my prospective colleagues, and meeting with my manager's supervisor. Everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic. It took them awhile to respond with an offer. Much worse, the entire process took almost 6 months from application to my first day.

I saw the job posting and emailed the head of the department to express my interest. I went to the office for a 30 minute interview. There were no hardball questions, I think that they just wanted to make sure that I had basic interpersonal skills and had the foreign language skills that the job required.
