I applied online, got an email requesting a phone interview. The phone interview was about half an hour, interviewer was functional but humorless, Nothing discussed regarding the role was the least bit out of my wheelhouse, seemed like a fit for my experience and skillset. Sent a follow-up email politely thanking the gent for the call and expressing my interest in the company and the role ... never heard back, not a peep.

Applied through a recruiter. Quick process, took a few days. Had 3 phone interviews before an onsite (1 for culture fit, 2 for technical questions). Onsite (with 2 developers and the CTO) had a white-boarding question and a system architecture question where they asked me about one of my previous projects. Even though I answered their questions and solved the problem correctly, I got a negative response because I "didn't show enough enthusiasm in their product."
