I was given little notice of the (online) interview. I was invited via email on Friday afternoon for an interview on the Tuesday of the following week. They asked interviewees to prepare a policy document to be emailed to them the day of the interview. The day after inviting me, they emailed to change the date of the interview to the Wednesday, ‘due to a personal issue popping up for one of our panels’, so I did have a bit more time to prepare. At the interview, I felt that they could have acknowledged the policy document in a friendlier way (e.g. ‘thank you for taking the time to produce this policy document’). Instead, they simply asked how I’d gone about producing it and made no further comment. I didn’t hear from them until 13 days after the interview, to inform me that I’d been unsuccessful. I’d long given up hearing from them by that stage. I felt like an afterthought from beginning to end of this interview process.
