Got a random message from a recruiter out of blue from AngelList. She set me up with a Skype interview. Had a chat with a engineer in which we did a coding challenge that was similar to a LeetCode problem but not really and much harder. I attempted a brute force solution and got it correct during the interview. The interviewer asked for a submission to his email address that improved the runtime. I presented the best algorithm that I know of which can also be found online of course but did not receive an acknowledgment upon receipt. I received a rejection notice the next day without any feedback. It seems that providing the best algorithm even after the interview does not matter apparently to HealthTap. Not sure what they are looking for.
