recruiter on the call gave me 10 minutes of chit chat, didn't ask me anything about my work in recruitment then asked me what industry blogs I read. they were also clearly distracted, looking at another screen and messaging on Slack while i was talking.

Disappointing candidate experience from a company bragging about 5 stars on Glassdoor. The person interviewing me had the attention anywhere else but at me. He seemed like being chased by others, I could see that he was shuffling through various things on his screen and at some point I had to repeat what I was saying because he wasn't paying attention. When we've got to the part where I had some questions, his interest in our conversation was completely lost and his answers were as short as possible, with no clear information provided. Following this interview I withdrew my application and in the email I sent I offered an honest and polite feedback regarding the interview. In the reply back from the interviewer I was told that the lack of interest came from the fact that I didn't read anything at all about the company. One, even if that would have been the case, we are all professionals, so respect should not be conditioned on if a candidate has read or not about the company. Two, I did read about the company and I had questions based on the information read on the website and requested more clarification, but, as I said, the attention of the interviewer was somewhere else. Personally, I will avoid HeliosX in the future. And a word of advise, that 5 stars on Glassdoor won't be there long with this attitude.
