      The interview process requires a take-home design challenge on which you’ll be expected to spend 6-8 hours and redesign a feature of your choice, fully incorporating research, UX, and visual design, and ultimately creating a stand-alone presentation. The recruiter was constantly intrusively asking me where I was in the process with other companies, which was a little off-putting. Ultimately, after completing the design challenge, the recruiter completely ghosted, and I had to found out I didn’t get the job when I received a Job Alert from LinkedIn that the company had re-posted the opening.

      Colloquio

      I was contacted relatively quickly after applying and a skype call was arranged for a week later. Had a very positive chat - fairly straightforward first interview HR screen. After that the next step was to do a design task, which felt quite early in the process for that, given that I hadn't even spoken to anyone on the design team yet. The task was to add or redesign a feature for the app. Exercise suggestion was to show complete process including personas, flows, and final hi fidelity mocks - definitely a non-trivial amount of work. Ended up spending about 2 full days on the task and submitted it within a week, as requested. I never heard anything back. I followed up multiple times looking for an update or any feedback, but received nothing. Finally 3 weeks later I got a canned response from the applicant tracking software saying that they would not be moving forward with my application and that, "due to the number of applications we received, we apologize that we are unable to provide feedback on your application." I think that if you ask a candidate to do that level of work for free, you owe them a little bit of feedback, or at least a personal response. It turned me off quite a bit and I felt like the whole thing wasted my time.

      I applied online for the role of UI/UX designer they scheduled the skype call with me and it took almost two weeks, When the interview day came HR said to me that she had some emergency so we will have to reschedule. Anyways we can't do anything with emergencies, it's all right. She didn't reply me for two days then I pinged her to reschedule and we were ready to the new date and time. She asked me some technical questions and I replied very well, she was nice actually. Then she gave me the assignment to add a new feature to HelloFresh to increase the user engagement and it was a pretty interesting task to do, I researched a lot and came up with a nice solution it took me one week to complete it all. I also took feedback from some of the best designers from the industry they were all very happy and sure that I will get this job definitely. But now the shocking one, they liked the idea but because of few dummy content in one screen only they rejected me, such a nice attitude haha.. funny. Anyways there are a lot of error in your mobile app which I mentioned in an article and sent to you. I would like to suggest you that please keep yourself up to date and do the iterations in your app. Thanks!!
