Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Helloprint (Valencia, Valencian Community) nel mese di nov 2021
Colloquio
Before the first interview, I received the infamous 100+ page "Culture book". Coming from Dublin, and having worked for different start-up type companies (who became big corporations), this was a red flag for me.
I read it completely before the first interview. Basically, a lot of it is "inspired" from Netflix corporate culture, for which the (very young) CEO of Helloprint seems to idolize.
Some points made me uncomfortable, like the fact that you have to be extraverted to fit. I am not. I like partying, I like hanging out with friends and colleague, but I am not the kind of dancing on tables.
First interview was technical interview, which went very well. The position looked very interesting, and the hiring manager seemed interested by my profile.
Second interview was the culture-check interview. In which I explained that I have no problem with their culture, but that I am slightly introverted. But I still like partying.
Anyway, this second interview didn't seem to have gone wrong, I was promised to have news in the next days or weeks, and I am still waiting (after 4 months).
Overall, I am glad that they didn't contact me back.
The technical hiring manager seemed very nice, and didn't seem to care much about the culture part. I feel sorry for her in a way, because I am sure they are missing out a lot of talents because of that.
But recruiters don't seem to respect the candidates that they are interviewing (by ghosting them), so why they would respect their own employees? this is another red flag about this company that seems to try a lot to look "cool" but in my view today has a big lack of maturity in its leadership and its development.
This is not an inclusive company.
