Began the interview bizarrely and unusually by asking me numerous times if I had any questions, no was the answer - why would I it is the start of the interview my questions will occur as we go along, as they did. The hiring manager conducted the interview without any kind of structure, or standard set of questions he had drawn up to ask the candidates. It was really left to me to drive and control the interview. With hiring managers like this a company does not need enemies. He then ended the interview by profusely and earnestly wishing me and my family a great vacation and a great life, utterly bizarre, he was not interviewing my family for the job he was interviewing me. One of the most bizarre job interviews I have ever had in my life. If you have got maladroit hiring managers like that in a company you have to wonder how well the company will do. I had wondered why the day earlier when I had a short interview with the man from HR he had said to me that if I told him that I could not get along with the hiring manager that is fine not to worry, and I thought that is an unusual thing to say, then the next day when I had the interview with the hiring manager I could see why he the HR man had said this. All in all a bizarre experience.
