Very odd process. I get an email directly from the hiring manager asking if I’m free the next day at a certain time. Luckily I am, so I agree to do the interview. Despite it being a remote role she asks if I’m willing to relocate. After this interview she schedules another one with an assignment and presentation I need to prepare for. I thought others would be in this interview but it’s just her and it gets recorded. After my presentation we briefly talk about it but no other questions are directed at me. She then ends the meeting saying she will forward this to decision makers and follow up later. This is when I know I didn’t get the job since in the previous interview she said she was making the hiring decision, but I don’t hear back from her and get ghosted. Very unprofessional to not have a recruiter in the entire process.
