Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto più di 2 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Hilton (Los Angeles, CA) nel mese di ago 2010

      Colloquio

I received the first call 2 months ago, about 2 weeks after I submitted an online application to the company website. The call was to set up a phone screen which took place a week after the call. The phone screen took about 30 minutes and they asked about availablity and salary preferences along with experience. After the phone screen, I was told they were still interviewing candidates and I would be contacted with next steps. Another week passes and I get a call to schedule a phone interview with the same person who I did the phone screen with. Once again, this phone interview was scheduled for a week from the call. I had the phone interview with was very similar to the phone screen but lasted approximately one hour. I was told they were still interviewing candidates and I would be contacted with next steps. Another week and a half passes, and I am contacted for my first in person interview. It is scheduled one week out again. The interview was with the person who would be my boss if I got the position. The interview lasted about one hour and 30 minutes and consisted of them telling me what bugged them about people in the position I was interviewing for and lots of questions. I could tell it was very unscripted. I was thanked for coming and then informed, they were still interviewing candidates but I would be invited back with the next 3-4 days for a panel interview. When two weeks passed, I assumed I did not get the job and they were not considerate enough to send a "Thanks for applying!". I was contacted for the interview and once again it was scheduled for a week out. It was very clearly explained to me that I would be participating in a panel interviewing meaning 2 other candidates and myself would interview with 1 person. Instead, 4 people interviewed me. Each one of them had about 10 questions they asked me in a round robin kind of format. It became very clear to me at this point, based on the questions they were asking, that I was significantly over qualified for this job. The interview lasted approximately 2 hours. I was asked again about my salary information (that I disclosed 8 weeks prior!) and they seemed surprised at the amount I was asking for. I received a phone call about 1 and a half weeks after, offering me about 20,000 dollars less than I was currently making, and working about 20 more hours per week. After I declined, I got a rejection letter in my email. The communication amongst their HR department is clearly very disorganized. I can not blame them because they are also clearly overworked and underpaid.
