I was sent a take-home assignment, a question paper generator, solved using Dynamic Programming, got a reply that I have cleared the assignment and was scheduled a Tech Interview round via Skype with their Tech Lead. During the interview, we discussed my assignment and other approaches to solve it. Later I was asked about Elasticsearch indexing and how it internally works. Followed by some Data structures related questions specifically involving Stack and Heap. Discussed columnar data storages and was asked to solve a couple of SQL Queries. I was able to answer all the question to the interviewer's satisfaction except one SQL query. Overall positive experience with the interviewer. After 7 days, no response, sent an email just to know the status, no response. To the HR team: A rejection email is always appreciated nothing wrong with that.
