I applied for the position online, part-time for the summer. I submitted my resume and cover letter and did an assessment with personality questions and choosing the best/worst response in different scenarios presented. I got a call 3 days later from the Retail Staffing Centre in Toronto for a phone screen. Very basic questions about my availability and previous cashier experience. I then got booked in for an interview at the beginning of the following week. The in-person interview was with one of the managers or supervisors in the store and was very straight-forward as well. She asked me 6 questions from a booklet and wrote down my answers. They were all situational questions and about customer service. They checked my references that same day and I got a call later in the day from the HR manager. I went back two days later and got a job offer on the spot.
