I applied through the HISD website. After a lengthy process and passing certain filters. I got selected to have an interview at a Houston Elementary School. During the interview, the principal and many other teachers asked me questions about my experience, academic resources, specific school situation and how I see myself in ten years. Overall, it was a great interview.
