8 interviews with 9 people including CRO, VP of Sales and others. Interviews were all soft questions, personality fit type of questions. I had a previous working relationship with CRO and several other employees there. All kept saying things like "this job is yours, this is just a formality". The whole interview process actually started via personal txt messages between myself and the CRO. CRO conversation began with him badmouthing the CEO as well as the person I was replacing. Went through the rounds (did I mention it was EIGHT rounds?!?) and then I was ghosted for two weeks. No more responses. Eventually got a template rejection from the recruiter.
