Started talking to them about a role in March 2025 which they approached me for. Used language such as ‘when you start we’ll do this’ etc which made me feel I was likely to get the role. Then felt they couldn’t offer the role to me without a proper job description. Then after about a month of chasing, they decided to get a recruitment agency involved and I had to have more phone, teams and face to face interviews, and essentially start from the beginning again. Immediate feedback from my second lot of face to face interviews was glowing and they felt ‘energised’ by their meeting with me. After weeks of chasing, I then get the feedback that I’m not right for the role towards the end of June. Complete farce and waste of time.
