Was invited to apply because I had a different offer with another team at IBM, but had made my interest in this placement known to my HR Rep. Was contacted via LinkedIn. After official materials were submitted, I had 1, 2 hr interview with my direct and more senior manager. This was very conversational and pleasant; the purpose was clearly to determine personality fit within team dynamics. 1 week later I had more of a skills interview with a more senior manager. Total process between first contact and offer was less than a month.
Minimal communication and unclear expectations before the interview. The interview was a mix of behavioral, UX specific, and portfolio review questions. Not much time for the interviewee to ask questions themselves.
The first round was a video assessment I received a day after applying to the job. I got 1 minute to prepare my answer and 3 minutes to respond. In total, I answered 4 different behavioral questions.
Intro / Asssessment / HR / Team Interview that's how it all starts and wraps up to final rounds. it was pretty easy for the intital rounds. However, they dive deeper into the projects and ask more about the context and the design decisoins, they critque and see how you performed during those tasks
