      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso ILCHS (Bronx, NY) nel mese di apr 2018

      Colloquio

I applied for a role because I was looking to be closer to home although I had read the poor reviews online. I went ahead and accepted the phone interview invitation a couple of weeks later and had the initial call. The call with the CEO was short, she scheduled a tight 30 minutes. Her questions were not geared towards any of the competencies I should have, I found them to be more personality questions, and about my previous work relationships because she knew some of the colleagues I had at other work locations. After she mostly talked, she said she would get back to me, and was ready to rush to hang up to get to another meeting. I then asked her if she had time for me to ask questions. She said "not really but if you have anything pressing or a burning question, sure". I asked about some of the things that concerned me online regarding the student discipline policies because it is important to that I work at a place where I align with the practices. The response was vague, and defensive. It was not rooted in any data or real knowledge of the practices she claimed were being followed. We hung up. I was invited for an in-person interview about 2 weeks later. The emails were not overly cultivating, but cordial. My phone interview was a Friday, and I was invited to an in person. I was asked for my availability, which I sent immediately although I was not sure I would even accept a role had I been offered after our call. I was asked to hold a certain date and time of the availability I shared. She didn't send me another message until after that date had passed without apologizing for not getting back to me sooner, or for having me hold the date and time. At this point I decided to withdraw my application with an email. She never wrote back to me or replied.
