Colloquio
The quants are freshly graduated from bachelor or master, so if you have a PhD, dont bother applying there! also they might have a positive bias for indians (most of the quants are from there)
About the process: First there is a hackerrank test, combination of probability, leetcode style and pandas questions. Then there is a phone interview with leetcode and probability questions. And finally on-sight, where they ask questions similar to the previous rounds. OLS, general questions on time series modeling for trading, some easy/medium leetcode and pandas. remember basics of ML and data preprocessing.

Domanda 1
what machine learning models you know? how to preprocess the data for each one of them? how to model time series for trading? how to solve OLS?
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso IMC Trading (Sydney) nel mese di apr 2025
Colloquio
First round: casual chat with HR about background and resume, why company, asked about decision making with incomplete information. Pretty chill with no technical questions or brain teaser. There are two rounds afterwards that I have not yet completed, still in progress.

Domanda 1
What is an example where you have to make a decision with incomplete information?
(Chicago) I applied online. First an Online Assessment, Second a zoom interview with a recruiter, Third, a shared screen technical interview with a quant researcher. I got rejected here.
But following this they will have an in-person interview at their office.

First: OA with probability/game questions.
Second: a zoom interview asking about career goals and behavioral questions.
Third, a shared screen technical interview with a quant researcher. A problem solving DP problem/game. Then 3 coding challenge to code solutions for the same problem. [basically all questions about dynamic programming]
