The interview process consisted of two rounds. The first was a preliminary phone screening conducted by the hiring agency, TeamPeople. The second round was a 30-minute video interview with four representatives from the IMF and two from TeamPeople. Each interviewer took turns asking questions about my background, qualifications, and a series of scenario-based prompts. I was given the final five minutes to ask my own questions—something I’ve come to expect in my professional experience.
Unfortunately, the process took a disappointing turn after the interview. Despite following up with each person who participated, I never received any updates regarding my status in the hiring process. With nearly a decade of professional experience, I fully understand that not every opportunity results in an offer—and I’m accustomed to receiving rejections via email, phone call, or even in person. However, this was the first time I experienced complete silence after a formal interview, which I found to be highly unprofessional.
This lack of communication has left me with serious reservations about pursuing future opportunities with TeamPeople or the IMF, and I would hesitate to recommend them to colleagues based on this experience.
