The application took about two and a half months and consisted of the following rounds:
1. situational judgement, personality and intelligence tests: after these online tests you immediately get feedback about your strengths and weaknesses.
2. HR interview, where they ask mainly motivational questions (also based on the tests you did), but also questions about ING, their strategies, your vision on banking etc.
3. panel interview with management and the HR manager for the international talent programs: they ask you to give a 5 min presentation about yourself and a 10 min presentation about a finance/banking-related topic. After the presentations, there's a question round, about the presentation, but mostly to really get to know you personally. They really appreciate authenticity. Surprisingly little questions about ING or the job description in the last round.
Overall, the application was a very pleasant experience for me. And the interviewers were super friendly. Certainly don't underestimate the procedure though. It's a management trainee program, they're looking for high potentials and I assume the competition is rather high. Besides, creating and giving a good presentation is not easy, so preparation is key.

Different interviews with HR and Managers over a span of 4 months, including a math and logic test. Also had to do a pschicological test which gave me a report to work on. This report has been used during interview process.
