At least a disappointing interview experience; where it was clear the recruiter was unprepared to engage with a senior-level professional. Rather than focusing on relevant topics such as leadership achievements, strategic goals, or my career trajectory, the interviewer fixated on outdated and irrelevant details—asking for specifics about my first job over 20 years ago and the exact dates and periods of my academic history from more than a decade ago. The conversation lacked depth and failed to touch on the competencies and vision expected of a leadership role, leaving me with the impression that the company may not fully understand or value senior-level talent.
