Entire process was very smooth. Was introduced to this opportunity by an external recruiter, went through the usual recruiter phone chat, 2 rounds of phone interviews, and an iOS code challenge to complete and send back in your own time. Made it to the onsite and met with 4 people as well as lunch (not graded) with some of the team members. Liked all the people I met and got a great vibe from the company. Want to mention here that I found it pretty impressive that they don't take any VC funding AND survived the dot com bust back in the day. A solid company for any who's looking. I had another company on the table at the time and IXL was professional and incredibly fast with the process to make me an offer. Several of the interviewers contacted me personally to let me know that I could reach out to them any time for a chat or questions to help me make my decision, which was a pleasant surprise. In the end I decided on the other company mostly bc of a large commute difference, but judging from the highly organized and professional interview process as well as their background/history it's a solid company that I would recommend to others who are looking. Do want to note here that while everyone at the company was great and a real class act, the recruiter (external) was not so much. Phoned me repeatedly and kept rehashing the same points to the point where I couldn't get off the phone because every time I tried to get off she would go "but I really hope you'll consider xxx..." Even after I made a decision she kept trying to sell me on the same points and bash the other company, but as soon as the deadline passed, I did not hear another peep from her. Not even a congratulations or best of luck. Class act... not so much. Again this is an external recruiter not reflective of IXL itself, the company was Expanxion recruiting but one recruiter does not reflect them all, sooo choose who you work with at your own risk!

First, got a job request about doing a simple app. Then was scheduled a phone technical interview with one of the senior engineer. The interviewer was nice to guide me through the challenges.
