First of all... Wow. What a breath of fresh air. This company treats its prospects like gold. No other company that I've interviewed with (20+) even came close. I just want to say that everyone who works here seems to genuinely love their job. First I did a phone screen with a wonderful HR staffer named Cathy. I got the sense that they were actually on my side, it was great. Super friendly. The call was mostly just to get to know me as a person and to find out what technical skills I possessed. Next, I had a zoom meeting with the director of engineering, and once again, they were such a pleasant person. We talked about our process' and engineering approach. It was immediately evident that it was a fit. After that, I sat down with a couple of the folks I'd be working with and went over the code in one of my personal projects. Their light-hearted commentary helped to keep my nerves down and kept things fun. Although I didn't get to go over everything I wanted to in the 1-hour time block, I had shown enough to garner an offer. A few days later, I was happy to receive another call from Cathy in HR who let me know that they'd decided to move forward with me. The compensation figure on the offer letter was even higher than what we had initially discussed. All in all the process took maybe 2 weeks and I'm really not sure how they could have made it any better. I seriously cant wait to join the team.

A few team leads were in the room and they mostly asked questions about projects I had done in the past and what tech I used. They asked questions about bugs I had recently encountered and what I did to fix them. It was a low pressure interview and very conversational about my interest in learning and my past experiences.
