Apply online, send CV and literature review to targeted professors, wait for the reply, book a face-to-face interview opportunity, answering the questions such as why imperial college and why PhD study and what is your plan and motivation?

The interview was held approx 2-3 months after my application. It took approximately 1 hour. I was required to give a 10-15 minute presentation on my academic performance, work experience, BA and Masters projects. Following this, I was asked questions were asked by the academic supervisor and industry investor. Overall, it felt conversational and I felt that my ideas were respected. We had lunch together afterwards and chatted informally. This was followed by several informal meetings (e.g. a tour of the campus, the opportunity to meet fellow PhD researchers, ask any final questions) before being offered the position.
