A recruiter reached out for me to apply. They had seen my resume and what I was majoring in (English).
It does not make sense that I was expected to have experience/qualifications that were not in the job description. Although they were relevant to the position, my resume was clear in that I did not have marketing experience. The recruiter, nonetheless, asked me about marketing strategies. Not to mention, working knowledge of marketing strategies was not in the job requisites.
The recruiter was very respectful and everything was handled in a quick and professional manner. But, the screening call did not go as expected.
