The interview was fairly straight forward and questions were predictable. However, the hiring manager didn’t seem to be able to answer some questions regarding the role and was beating around the bush.

2 Virtual Interviews (1 with Hiring Manager, 1 with Panel), 1 Written Assignment
Written assignment was OK, but not sure what the point of it was. It was never addressed by HR or the panel in the final interview. It felt like a way to farm ideas.
Both interviews were fast and smooth. Interviewers were very nice, shared a lot about the role, what to expect. Answered all my questions very well too. Turned down the offer eventually, but the HR was very prompt and accommodating throughout.

Pros:
• The interview panel was professional and the interview went very well.
Cons:
• Bait and Switch: Panel indicated strong interest. HR emailed me regarding the offer/start date. I replied immediately.
• The Ghost: HR then went completely silent. I was ghosted for 2 months despite following up.
• The Outcome: Finally received a generic "we hired someone else" reply after 8 weeks of silence.
• Verdict: Extremely disrespectful of candidates' time. If you have an offer pending elsewhere, do not wait for them.
Advice to Management:
• Fix your HR process. Ghosting a candidate after discussing start dates is unacceptable for a Statutory Board.
