An absolute mess. Literally a dozen interviews with anyone at the SVP and C level. The culture is broken beyond belief and it starts at the top. Passive aggressive swipes. Half-truths. Obvious resentment and condescension for one another. All of it somehow meshed in with a handful of really nice and decent people. Sadly, if it was this obvious to an outsider, I don’t even want to know the real situation on the inside. This is the type of company in which I could see them firing good people for a random mistake but allow cancers to remain due to politics and/or fear. Long story short, offer was soft and the speed at which they were working to counter all but guaranteed me they weren’t looking to budge but just trying to hold on to my candidacy until they found someone else who was cheaper. Sad irony, the recruitment team asked me if I would reconsider (walking away) or at least delay my decision while the other c-level players admitted they had no idea who or when a decision was being made. And the guy in charge of it all never returned anyone’s emails. So, uhhh, that’s all probably not good.
