Disrespectful, Disorganised and Confusing are some words that come to mind. A recruiter from Infosys got in touch about the opening, it took a few emails to even get clarity on what the role was (in terms of seniority and skills required), the recruiter again called to set up a technical interview, I was asked what my salary expectation and current salary was (this was weird to say the least coming even before the initial interview happened). I was asked to provide some time slots which I did. Another recruiter called to confirm the date and time of the interview and sent an email invite for a video interview. Only the panellists first name was mentioned. The technical interview was another negative influence as the panellist lacked basic interviewing courtesy and skills. He started off with a one line introduction which was "I am _ from _ practice. This was the only intro which I got, I don't know till this day what this guy did in Infosys. The interview started with "start talking and tell me about your journey in IT while I go through your profile!!!!". The rest of the interview was technical and I thought I did OK, not very well.
I was also at this stage not keen or excited to pursue the opportunity, and did not really follow up on what the next steps were. Imagine my surprise when they got back and said they wanted to have a HR round. In the HR interview I was again asked to provide my current salary expected salaries again which I found irritating. I was told that my expected salary was a stretch on the budget and was given a time and date for a further session to confirm if they would be going ahead. This call never came, instead the recruiter called to say they wanted another round of interviews, the recruiter was not clear on what this interview was except that is was a managerial round. It turned out this was another technical interview with the head of the practice (which was not conveyed prior to the interview). This interview was by far the best as the panellist was courteous and offered further insight into the role. A few days later I received an automated email conveying that Infosys would not be going ahead.
Feedback is that I found process was
Disrespectful and unprofessional: for somebody fairly senior in the industry and to hear that the panellist has not taken the time to read your profile was I thought disrespectful and unprofessional. Although this might not have been intentional, the least a company of Infosys' size can do is train their Panelists in basic interview etiquette.
Disorganised: There was no communication between recruiters and the HR. Calls were scheduled and never made, nor was there prior communication of reschedule or cancellations.
Confusing: At no stage was the interview process explained, while the interviews got progressively better in quality, I found the entire process confusing ie having a salary nego. before the technical rounds were over.

2 technical and 1 HR round . And if doubt case then one skip level extra round. Technical round involved hands on questions as well like writing a program to solve a use case. Design approach is also checked.
