Utterly a disgrace. Not only the interviewer changed the interview date and was late to the second one. He was unable to give me any information about the position or company as he had only been in it for about a month. After finalizing the interview I heard nothing back from them for 2 weeks. The interviewer informed me he would let me know something for sure in about 4 to 5 working days. When I contacted them, he apologized saying he had been off sick, and that unfortunately the position was no longer active, as they realized there were no funds available for it. (Mind you, during the interview they had told me that there was a huge rush to fill in the vacancy as they had over 10,000 manuscripts pending to be reviewed) . Definitely an extremely unprofessional company, not worth wasting your time with them.

I was very excited to apply and potentially work for Inkitt, as I believed in their mission and thought their work was progressive and promising. The interview process, however, completely turned me off from every working at the company. The recruiter (despite assuring me multiple times that they were very interested in me as a candidate) postponed our meeting 3x, once 5 minutes before the interview was to start, another time, 20 minutes before. (I had taken time off my current work for these meetings). Once I made it past the first round and was supposed to meet with one of the higher ups, they postponed the meeting again and changed who was to be interviewing me twice. Incredibly chaotic and confusing. At the final interview, the interviewer was checking her phone while I was talking and did not even apologize or acknowledge it. It was incredibly disrespectful. At the time, I had an offer from another company and I had to give them a decision by the end of the week. I communicated this to the interviewer and asked if she could possibly give me an indication if I made it to the last round by the end of the week. She promised she would. After that, she disappeared, as did the recruiter. I emailed them 3x and finally got a rejection email a month later thanking me for my time. It was a truly dehumanizing experience, especially because I had such high hopes for the company. This is not how you treat people who you interview and says a lot about how Inkitt values workers.
