First call was with the recruiter. Then a call with a Solutions Engineer. I've never interviewed with a Solutions Engineer first, it's always been the hiring manager. I found that odd.
I passed that and before my interview with the hiring manager, I asked the recruiter directly would it be a problem if the role is in the southeast because I live in California. I was assured it wouldn't be a problem. The first words out of the hiring managers mouth was "were not offering relocation assistance and this role is in the Southeast.".
I was lied to by the recruiting team and they wasted my time. Also good luck with a company that only has less than 100 employees after being founded in 09. Seems like a slow sinking ship with no growth or market fit.
