I was recruited for a role at The Standard. I was interviewed by the Director of Endpoint Management, and he chose me as the contractor that he wanted to hire for the 6-month role. It took several weeks to receive any information concerning the onboarding of this role. Three weeks after accepting the role, the recruiter via Insight Global mentioned that nothing has taken place concerning the onboarding of the role - that there were some challenges on The Standard's part; he began asking about changing the initial terms that were agreed upon, he mentioned things that should have been considered while searching for a contractor - such as any current corporate re-organizations, periods of merges/acquisitions, and hiring freezes. I asked if I could speak with a member of his management team; he then stopped replying to me about any status updates altogether. By and large, his tone when I spoke with him was accusatory and pinpointed all of the blame on The Standard without any other explanation. Other than what I would consider excuses that should have been figured into the process as the role and contract were originally designed. When I reached out to the hiring director for a response, he blocked me on LinkedIn immediately after receiving my message.
