First, there is an initial phone call where you speak to someone casually about your experience and you learn a little bit more about the company. After that they schedule you for an in-person interview where you meet with someone at one of their offices, and it is a rather short interview where they ask almost the same questions as they did over the phone, so don't go thinking that it's going to be so formal, serious, or involved. It was pretty surprising. Before I had my interview, I read other reviews on Glassdoor, but I dismissed how casual people were saying it was, which was a big mistake. I expected so much more with my in-person interview and I felt let down during the interview. I think everyone was quite distracted in the office when I was there, because apparently a regional manager was in that day. I completely understand that, but I feel like it really took away from my interview experience massively. I thought that everyone was really kind, took the time to inform me, and it seemed like such a great environment, until I had that in-person interview. The person interviewing me kept on interrupting me right after the first few words of my sentence, was reading the white board behind me a couple of times while I was talking about important things, and asked me more questions about my parents than they did about me. This really, really threw me off and I felt like they just didn't care about my time and effort for being there too. I think most people like to see an interviewer who cares about their time as a potential employee as well, not just me caring about taking their time. I feel like they are all very energetic and happy, which is great, but it felt like they may have looked down on my seriousness, so if you are a serious person, even with a kind personality and great social skills, this probably still isn't for you because if you like to be serious in interviews and show that, it doesn't rub them the right way. Also, I sent a thank you email to the interviewer and they never responded- that's quite disrespectful in my eyes and as someone who does the interviewing for her current job all the time, I could never treat my clients that way no matter what my experience was like with them was. This told me a lot about the firm and I was very disappointed in that behavior. Not so sure they give people good chances and opportunities to show them what they are all about during interviews.
