      Colloquio

Contacted on a Friday by a recruiter who found my resume online. This is not a field I ever thought about entering but he did a pretty good job selling the position and company. Sounded like hard work but that it would be a lot of fun. He talked about a mile a minute just explaining the position/company and then asked if I would be interested. After saying yes he then said he thought I was a great fit and went on to tell me exactly how to change my resume for the interview and exactly what to say to answer certain questions. He said my interview would be Monday and he would email me details on where to go. No email Friday. No email Monday morning. I called to see if the interview was still a go, he apologized and asked if I had any questions. Still talking a mile a minute on what I should do during the interview and how to act. I was barely able to get a word in. He then said "I know its hard to convey excitement over the phone-but you need to kick it up a notch". Um, thanks. I spent most of my high school and college life in a role where I had to be peppy constantly. A couple hours later I show up for the interview. The place seemed kind of strange. I saw 2 wooden doors, an empty receptionist desk and 3 glass doors to little meeting rooms. I was asked to sit in one of those rooms and person one came in to talk. I thought we hit it off, I knew from looking on here to expect to portray my "I love to have fun" personality, but he cut our convo short to go to a meeting. Persons 2 and 3 that I met with afterward were harder to read. I wanted to strike up a conversation, get to know them, they get to know me...but all the seemed to want to do was tell me how awesome their company was and all about their sales competition. They kept asking if I had any questions and I asked several-about the field, the company, the position, advancement opps past the obvious recruiter to acct manager, how they got into it, why they liked it, etc. It seemed like all they wanted to talk about was their company and how great it is...not really asking questions to get to know me. The next day I got an email saying I wasn't a good fit. I was a dissappointed because they had really started to sell me on working there. I'm all about working hard but really having fun at work and with my coworkers. I'm not sure if maybe I didn't come across as competitive enough or what.

3 round interview process. 2 remote and the last one was onsite at the ATL HQ. They were friendly, I had a good time, but ultimately didn’t get the job

      Colloquio

Started with an initial meeting over Microsoft Teams; Recruiter interviewed me twice before offering an in person interview. The in person interview was much more interpersonal, they had me meet the team and introduced me to everyone on the floor. When the actual interview started it seemed they were scanning my personal communication skills without be prudent to my abilities to complete the job. I was invited back for a shadow/lunch session, this was another test environment of my personal communication skills. I felt this environment was supportive but felt off, I appreciated the time to interview but was told multiple times; "We believe you have the technical ability to complete the job." I was told the day after that they were moving forward with other candidates. I completed a total of six interviews for this position with arguably more effort and time spent than I would like to interview. The shadow session and lunch interview took nearly 4 hours of my time (travel, parking, interview, lunch, shadowing time). I wouldn't spend this much time in pursuit of a position I was not going to be offered. Indirectly I never was able to speak with anyone in the office I was interviewing at previous to the interviews themselves. My recruiter operated as a liaison to me and the office without direct connection with the office.
