My experience started out with a phone screening with the internal recruiter, who was very personable and I felt understood my qualifications and seemed eager to move me to the next step in the hiring process, which I was lead to believe would be an on sight interview. The recruiter stated it was a requirement to complete and online assessment (pretty standard) and to provide my SS# and fill out financial background check in order to move forward with the application process . I was very hesitant to do this as I never put my social security number on any form but was eager to be consdered for the position. I never heard from the company again. I waited 2 weeks, emailed and called the recruiter. No response. I wrote a final email 4 weeks after applying, requesting the courtesy of a response to let me know if the position had been filled. Never got a reply. What do they do with my personal financial information now that they have it? It's very troubling and feels very shady.
