6 month long process where recruiters reach out, promise an exact date they’ll get back to you, ghost you for over a week, ignore your follow ups, and respond as if nothing happened 10+ business days later with excuses like “lost emails” and non-reasons like “I must have mixed up my signals.” Interviewers asked inappropriate questions probing for information about my previous employer (a competitor). Absolutely ridiculous and the most disrespectful recruiters and interview process I’ve ever been through. Stay far away. FYI, Instacart has also decided recently to change their equity grant after seeing their valuation increase, and is now offering new hires a fixed $ amount instead of % of company, so that post-IPO, employees’ shares can’t increase in value even as Instacart’s stock price increases off the backs of their employees’ labor. My recruiters CLEARLY dragged the last interviews of my process (already scheduled, then rescheduled 3 times, 30 minutes before the interview, to 5+ business days later each time...) to finish a few days after this change to avoid giving employees the equity they deserve. Yikes.
