Interview was very casual and was conducted by the COO. The company likes to gain insight on candidate’s personality and motivation to determine whether they would be a good fit.

Their interview process lacks transparency. Following the initial interview, the manager verbally indicated interest in a second interview in person. However, they stopped communication abruptly, leaving me without any updates. Interestingly, I noticed the same job description reposted under a different name. Additionally, their use of Indeed for interviews makes it impossible to contact them for updates.

The interview was conducted in a group setting which seemed odd for me due to the position. I quickly learned that the job title and position I applied for was misleading. When you think of anything "underwriting" you would think of an office job. This position and job description described in the "interview" (which was really a presentation) was in sales. It didn't seem like a bad opportunity for those that wanted to do something like what was being described. But, as a professional who is interviewing for other underwriter positions seriously, this was a waste of time for me as I have no want or need to do in-person marketing. It ended with them basically offering everyone in the interview the job by asking if the next Thursday worked to start training. It seems like a company with a high turnover rate if they are offering everyone in every "interview" a position. Either that or its one of the pyramid scheme/trickle-down marketing companies where the person/people at the top reap all the benefits from the workers on foot at the bottom. Overall, I think that while what they are doing by offering free healthcare to those who are in need is a good thing the misleading job title and description proves a waste for people actually looking for what was listed.
