Interview was very serious. They talked very highly of their expectations for me as the candidate. But I didn't see nearly the same type of representation for themselves. Long wait times for follow-up. Discombobulated. Interviews were excessively lengthy and I was made to believe my experience wasn't that valuable to them. It didn't feel like a real world conversation but like a performance. I don't feel like I got to know anyone I was interviewing with or anything, but they're extremely high expectations. I was lead to believe that not all departments hire this way, but they wanted multiple rounds of interviews that were 4 hours in length each and a 2-day case study with a presentation. I've had a lot of interviews and I've never heard of a process like this. I felt like they should be paying me for that much of my time and performance. I wasn't sure if I was interviewing or if they were getting free consulting work from me.
