      Where to even begin... I was contacted by their Talent Acquisition team for a Senior React UI Developer position after applying through LinkedIn. The job posting clearly outlined a 4-part interview process, with the final step being a formal job offer. (If this is TLDR, scroll the last paragraph). Part 1 was a 15-minute video interview with someone who had a very strong accent, making communication difficult. There was no proper greeting or introduction... I was hit with technical questions almost immediately, barely 30 seconds into the call. One of the questions was about "Dartmo," which I couldn't make sense of until I realized he meant "Dark Mode". I answered easily after that, but this interaction gave me zero insight into the company, the team, or the role. Weird start... but I kept going. For Part 2, I was asked to join a recorded video session to take a series of tests... no one visible on their end, but I had to keep my camera on. There were four timed tests, each with 10 questions and a 15-minute limit. Shockingly, around half of the questions were completely unrelated to front-end development and instead, they resembled logic puzzles you might find on the SAT/ACT... for example: "Given the following pattern (AAAB654 = BBBC543), what is X if DDDE987 = X?" Not exactly the kind of thing you'd expect when applying for a senior React developer role... but whatever I guess? Part 3 was more reasonable. It was about a 45 minute technical interview with someone who was friendly and knowledgeable. For once, the conversation felt like it had some relevance to the actual job. Up until that point, I was getting serious red flags, but this chat gave me a small sense of hope. Thinking at this point I had passed the 3 Parts of the interview process, leaving the 4th part to be a potential Job offer, they reached out and said I now need to complete a "Post-Interview Assessment" and I have only 24 hours to do so (Good thing I had no life plans at the moment). This turned out to be a ridiculous "Slideware Test", where I had to use Google Slides (a tool I had never even touched before) to complete a fictional business scenario that had 3 Parts. Part 1 involved extracting tasks from an email and placing them into a to-do list table... This took about 1 hour. Part 2 required watching a 20-minute video and updating a complex data flow diagram based on spoken notes...this took roughly 3 hours. Part 3 was building another table that mapped the flow of data, complete with custom graphic icons I had to search for online. Do you know what a "Kafka Topic" is? I sure didn't. What Icon would you use for that? This entire thing felt like project manager busywork and had zero relevance to front-end development, but I completed it anyway... total about 6 hours of effort. After completing the "Post-Interview Assessment" (since when does a "Post-Interview" thing take more time to completel than the actual Interview?), I thought I was finally done with the interview process... and would next finally get a Job Offer (it's been 16 days up until this point). They reached out and then said I needed to have a 30 minute video call with the CEO "Ed Watal" first (I guess that's understandable). It was a decent conversation but clearly he was busy so it only lasted for about 10 minutes. Again they required me to have camera on, but I could not see Ed. Strange, but at that point... whatever... I had stopped being surprised. The following week, I received an email congratulating me and saying they had the "green light" to begin my onboarding. I was told to expect a call on Tuesday, May 27th, to discuss compensation. That call never came. I followed up the next day and was told they were now waiting on confirmation from a "client" and the contract paperwork was still being finalized. Wait... I thought I was interviewing for a role at Intellibus? Why is there a client involved now? What is happening? Days went by.... Then weeks... I followed up multiple times and each time was met with vague reassurances that things would be finalized "this week". Today is June 30th. I haven’t heard a single word since June 13th. They ghosted me... after five rounds of interviews, six hours of unpaid/unrelated work, and multiple confirmations that I was hired. Maybe I'm the fool? At this point, I can’t help but wonder if this entire process was less about evaluating candidates and more about harvesting information to train some internal AI or automation tool. Between the logic puzzles, the recorded testing sessions, and the bizarre Slideware assessment... which felt more like unpaid consulting work than an interview... it all started to feel exploitative. It’s hard not to question whether they ever intended to hire anyone at all, or if applicants are just feeding a system under the guise of a job opportunity. In summary, this was hands down the most unnecessarily drawn-out and disorganized interview process I’ve ever been through. What started as a seemingly structured four-part process quickly turned into a confusing, time-consuming, and ultimately fruitless ordeal. I invested over a month of my time, completed multiple interviews and assessments, was told I was "Green Lighted" to be moving forward... only to be met with silence. No closure, no follow-up, no respect for the time and effort I put in. If this is how they treat candidates, I can only imagine how they operate internally. Proceed with caution... you have been warned.
