Colloquio
The interview itself was fine. A few tough questions, but everyone was kind and seemed to really like me. In the end, it seems like I wasn't offered the position because their budget for this role's salary was lower than what I was currently making (48k) and they chose to continue interviewing me when my salary expectations were right on the application. After two interviews over the course of a month (phone and in-person), HR reached out to me for a follow-up and told me they really liked me, but then asked me if I was sure I was paid the amount I listed from my current employer (implying that they thought I was lying). I assured them that I did make that much and offered proof. Soon after, I received an email that I was "overqualified" and that they offered the position to someone else who already accepted. No offer to see if I would even be wiling to accept the pay (I really wanted experience at an international company at the time). Complete waste of time that could've easily been avoided if they would've just been up front about the salary - especially since it was right on my application. They were practically banking on an assumption that I was lying about the salary and had to make something up in the end. Being "overqualified" is something you would know as soon as you see a resume. It doesn't take 2 interviews and an HR follow-up to see that. What a waste of effort.

Interview was first done by hiring agency, then followed by the department hiring. It was very quick process as I think they need to hire as soon as possible. In the interview with the relevant department, it consisted of a 3-member panel.
