After a <15 minute initial interview (easy, the manager seemed nice), I was asked to complete an unpaid test assignment (several hours to complete) and a Tony Robbins personality test. After that, I had a second interview with the CEO/Founder and a different manager.
The second interview was fairly problematic. The manager on the call was extremely negative about my workspace (a quiet space with strong internet, but not a single-purpose dedicated home office. The company is remote-first) and the CEO didn't attempt to temper that negativity. The questions were essentially the same from the first interview and weren't terribly deep questions that offered me much opportunity to demonstrate my skill set or experience. I was particularly surprised by this given that I have an extensive background in podcast production, but I got the sense that the company liked to hire people (women, nearly everyone in the company is female with the exception of the CEO) with no industry experience.
After two interviews (with the managers of both major departments and the CEO/Founder), Interview Valet ghosted me and never responded to another email.
