The Document Control team manager was very personable and thorough in her screening. On the initial phone interview, I was asked to describe a document control process. I then did an in-person interview with her and three of her team members. Everyone was well-prepared and had reviewed my resume thoroughly, and the questions were mostly about specifics of document control, what applications I've used, and how I applied Document Control to my work, as well as my personal experience in the field and the bottlenecks most often encountered in the process. I was called back again to interview with some of the managers of the teams who most interacted with the Document Control department. All were professional and passionate about their work, knew their fields, and had different styles of questions. It was actually great to hear reminders of how many unique different ways people saw Document Control, but everyone knew its importance. My impression was that I would be working with a lot of great teams and I left feeling hopeful, and how great it would be to join such a marvelous company. When the staffing agency called to say they wanted me on, I happily accepted, and am looking forward to the work!
