At the end of my first stage ‘interview’, I was told “I really like you, I will put you through to the next stage”. So I was confused to receive an email today stating that Ivanti would not be moving forward with my application. Worth noting I received this outside of the 48 hour feedback window.
During the call, I was given little opportunity to properly discuss my experience and suitability for the role, as the questioning was neither structured nor particularly relevant to the position. For example, the interviewer said something akin to ‘I have no idea about any of that’ when I tried to explain my most recent position in Talent Acquisition. Furthermore, the technical issues with the Teams call (caused by an incorrect setup on Ivanti’s end) were surprising, given that Ivanti is an IT company.
Given that the interviewer initially indicated I would be progressing further, I find the lack of follow-through and communication quite unprofessional. While I understand not every candidate can be selected, a more structured and fair interview process would be beneficial for both future applicants and Ivanti’s reputation.
